Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette

Hiya! :) In this post I’m going to be reviewing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette. My lovely twin sister bought me this for Christmas as I’d been talking about trying this out for a really long time. I was so surprised to rip off the wrapping paper and find this inside and sure enough, it was the first thing I used on Christmas day.

Colours from left to right:  1st row- cream, antique, rum cake, moss, truffle. 2nd row- ballet, orange soda, sienna, pink sapphire, black diamond.

According to Anastasia Beverly HillsMore is more. Lavish set for Brows and Eyes delivers decadent beauty in one portable kit. Featuring a deluxe ten shade removable shadow palette, Mini Covet Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir, Mini Perfect Brow Pencil in Dark Brown, a full-sized Anastasia Beverly Hills Tweezer, and a professional-grade lining and blending brush.

To start with, I’ve been really enjoying this palette so far. I’ve used it a few times now and the colours are lovely. There were 3 that really stood out to me as soon as I opened the palette and I knew that I would love them. This is before I even tried them! The 3 colours that I automatically fell in love with were moss, pink sapphire and sienna. And believe me, they did not disappoint.

Above are the swatches of all 10 colours. It was a little harder to get a good image of the lighter colours as they weren’t picking up too well but think pale and matte and you have the idea!

As far as packaging goes, I love the design. If this was on a shelf in a department store, I know my eye would be instantly drawn to it due to the bright colours and just how practical it is. Inside the palette, you get a little book with different looks you can create using the eyeshadows, tweezers, a brow pencil, a double ended shadow brush and a black eyeliner. And then you get the sleeve of eyeshadows which you are able to take out and keep separately as it has a protective cover. This would really come in handy for travelling as it’s great for saving space. The only thing I haven’t tried from this palette is the brow pencil, just because it’s too dark for me. However, I do have an Anastasia Brow Wiz and I think they are brilliant!

The eyeshadows themselves are so soft and easy to blend. The pigmentation is excellent and this palette is so versatile that the colours would suit any eye colour. It has something for everyone with some mattes and some metallics and if you’re a little shy when it comes to using bright colours, then there are some neutrals along with jewel tones which are so complimentary.

Overall, this is a great palette and at around £26 (I think that’s how much my sister bought it for), it is an absolute steal! I’m so glad to be able to add this to my collection and I will certainly be getting my use out of it :)

Thanks so much for reading :)
