A couple of things that have made their way to the UK…

If you’re like me, as soon as something beauty related gets released in the US, you cannot wait to get your hands on it. All the hype gets built around it, samples are sent to bloggers and then the wait begins. At least for us girls in the UK it does. It seems to take forever for some products to cross the pond, if at all but I’m going to talk about some of the things that finally did.

milani, nyx, maybelline

Granted, this is not a long list but it’s just a general post talking about how annoying it is that so many products get spread around the internet in the lead up to the launch and sometimes they never end up reaching us girls who are being deprived of some pretty good stuff! Who wants to pay extortionate shipping fees plus added customs charges just for ordering something from overseas? No-one that’s who!

maybellineTwo of the highly anticipated products I’m talking about are from Maybelline. They are the Maybelline Eraser Eye (known as instant age rewind in the US) and Maybelline Baby Lips. I am a sucker for concealer so when I noticed this was being raved about so much by beauty bloggers and Youtubers, I knew I wanted to try it. But to my disappointment, it wasn’t sold in the UK, up until recently, along with the range of Baby Lips. I wasn’t convinced that Baby Lips would be any good but I bought one, purely out of curiosity and I ended up really liking it! Reminds me a lot of the Revlon Lip Butters but even more moisturising. As for the concealer, I was pretty impressed by this too. Its creamy and it makes me look really awake which I love.

nyx

Another brand which have rightfully made a name for themselves on the US cosmetics market is Nyx. Their products are now available to purchase online in the UK which is so exciting because this brand is raved about on blogs by both professional and amateur make-up gurus. I have two lip products and two eyeshadows from this brand as I couldn’t possibly sit back and not buy anything! Nyx is so affordable and they offer some great quality items so for budding make-up artists or girls just getting into makeup, this is well worth investing in, even to build your kit.

milani

Another huge drugstore brand in the US is Milani. So it came as a surprise to me to find these two little beauties just chilling in a pound shop! A pound shop girls! This looks like pretty old packaging to me but the branding is unmistakable. The quality is quite nice actually, I’ve been really enjoying using the green one. I have green eyes so I always reach for green eyeshadows and I really do like this quad. Admittedly, I don’t get much use out of the blue one as I rarely wear blue eyeshadow but I have used it and the quality is just as good as the green.

Thanks so much for reading :)

NYX just found their way to our country just last year. Good to know that they’ve finally made their way there. They have really great products! :)
