Friday’s Face

Today I put some real thought into my makeup. Not only did I have to go to work, but I also had to leave early to go to a funeral. After work I went home, quickly got changed and went straight back out again so when I woke up this morning I had to do something appropriate for both occasions. Am I the only person who plans their makeup before they choose their outfit every morning? Some days I think about what makeup I’m going to be wearing the next day from the moment I take it off the night before so some serious thought goes into it at times! So I came up with this:

Friday's Face 2Once again, I used the Anastasia Lavish palette (did I tell you I love this palette?) to create a blown out, cranberry toned look. I actually really liked this and I decided to wear purple trousers to work this morning, all due to this look! I didn’t use many products for the eyes, just Sienna to blend out and Pink Sapphire across the lid. These posts won’t go into detail too much about my makeup as they aren’t really meant to be a tutorial as such. They just show what kinds of looks I’m into and maybe an honourable mention or two to some new products and how I use them on myself.

Fridays face 2And for the obligatory car picture outside work this is what my makeup looked like from the front!

One thing that happened this week, that I’m rather excited about, is that I booked a makeup lesson at MAC for 6 weeks time :) I’m so excited because I’ve had my makeup done there a couple of times but I’ve never been able to watch the girls apply the makeup so it will be interesting to learn some new things and obviously I’ll come home with some new makeup! Expect a blog post with all the details, coming at the end of February :)

Thanks so much for reading and have a great weekend!
