I received a lovely message in my inbox the other day asking if I wanted to take part in a competition that Debenhams are currently running for bloggers. I was automatically intrigued and went to find out more straight away. Basically, the deal is that they want bloggers to create two complete outfits, one for the daytime and one for night time. You have a virtual budget of £250 for a chance to win £500 in Debenhams vouchers, how cool is that?! The winners will be chosen by Natasha from Girlinthelens and Victoria from VIPXO.
So I decided to create my day time look first and this is what I came up with!
£35 Designer Grey Two Tone Border Wrap by Ben De Lisi
£28 Designer Black Metallic Textured Shell Top by Ben De Lisi
£40 Designer Black Skinny Jeans by Jasper Conran
£60 Miss KG Heston Grey Suede Flat Boots
£11.99 Black Jewel Beanie Hat by Quiz
£20 Women’s Silver Diamante Detail Infinite Watch
£11 Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara
I put this outfit together because personally, this is the kind of thing I wear at the weekend, going for a walk, out for lunch, anything. It is so versatile and easy to change up that anyone would look great wearing this. Many of these items are bang on trend such as the wrap and the boots should be a staple item in anyone’s wardrobe as far as I’m concerned because I own a pair myself and I love them. I think the watch just adds that little touch of sparkle which ties in with the jewelled hat really nicely. To finish off, add a touch of mascara and you’re set up for the day :)
And this is my night time look:
£15 Off White Abstract Print Blouse
£9.99 Black Wet Look Skater Skirt
£100 Black Glacier High Heel Sandals by Carvela
£80 Warehouse Quilted Double Buckle Leather Jacket
£24 Gold Thin Curb Diamante Pendant Necklace
£13.50 MAC Lipstick in Rebel
I ended up changing this outfit a couple of times because certain things just didn’t go together and I wanted to make sure I was representing something I would actually wear which made this a lot easier than I thought it would be! Online shopping with an imaginary budget is one of my favourite things to do! The shirt can be tucked into the skirt for a pulled together, classy night time look. The statement necklace and MAC lipstick in the shade Rebel really set off the outfit as it wouldn’t look out of place in a club or a fancy restaurant. The Carvela shoes will make any outfit pop as they are the perfect complement for any outfit, especially a night out, with just enough added sparkle.
If you want to get involved with this competition, read up on it here as it’s a great thing for bloggers to get into, I just wish I had found out about this sooner!
The competition closes on the 13th January.
I hope you like the outfits I chose!
Thanks so much for reading :)
