As my first favourites post, I wanted to choose a mixture of things like a couple of face products, eye products and skin care to give you an idea of what I like to use regularly and the types of products I tend to go out and buy. This month has seen plenty of new products come to the market now that Christmas is out of the way. This month has also given many people a chance to try out all of the make-up products they were lucky enough to receive for Christmas, including myself.

 

My favourites for this month include the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette (which I’ve already raved about), Maybelline Baby Lips, Ocean Salt face scrub from Lush, Bali Botanica face mask from Avon (review coming soon) and finally a MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in the colour Superb.

Some of these products are new discoveries and others are products I have had in my make-up arsenal for a while. The lavish palette was a gift from my lovely twin sister for Christmas which I loved straight away and have reviewed here. I used the green eyeshadow from the palette today and again I was impressed at just how soft and highly pigmented the eyeshadows are.

Maybelline Baby Lips is a product I had heard so much about and then when it finally came to the UK, I put off buying it for a while because I was expecting just another lip balm so I just didn’t understand the hype. And then I was reeled in by a 2 for 1 offer in Boots so I decided to finally buy it and I’m really glad I did. It does feel very moisturising on the lips and it gives a lovely pink sheen which is just enough colour for me as I don’t like to attract too much attention to my lips when they’re feeling a little dry.

As for the Ocean Salt face scrub from Lush, I don’t tend to buy many lush products because I find some of them to be too heavily fragranced for my liking but this is a product I do like. When I remember, I exfoliate my skin probably once every two weeks and this makes my skin feel so smooth and fresh after I’ve used it.

The Bali Botanicals face mask from Avon is another face product I’ve been really enjoying lately. The planet spa range from Avon is seriously underrated and they offer some really lovely products for half the price of some of the products even on the high street at the moment. This smells really nice and doesn’t cause me to have any nasty breakouts which fragranced products sometimes can.

And finally MAC’s mineralized skin finish in Superb is a frosted a peachy nude highlight which I like to wear when I go for a night out as I think it picks up really well on pictures and just makes you look so healthy and glowy.
