This week has gone by so slowly. Mostly because the weather has been rubbish and I’ve had a bad cold for the past few days which I’m hoping will miraculously clear up before my best friend’s 21st birthday celebrations tomorrow night! But this week was also a good week. I decided to treat myself to a new camera. I’ve been trying to decide for a while now whether or not to get one because it costs a lot of money and I didn’t want to get one if I didn’t know how to use it or look after it properly. But I went ahead and bought the Canon EOS 600D and I’m so glad I did :).

One thing is for sure, the camera doesn’t lie! Please excuse my big red nose, I had got to the point where applying make-up and then blowing my nose, to then reapply my make-up (repeat this process numerous times) just got annoying so I gave up and embraced the redness!

As for my make-up, I fancied some orange today I used the Sleek Sunset palette and using the frosted copper shade, blended out with a Stila matte brown in the crease and a matte cream shade to highlight my brow bone. I wasn’t in the mood to do anything too fancy, what with me being ill, so I kept it pretty simple. This would look amazing on brown eyes by the way, it would really make your eyes stand out! However, my eyes are green and I still love to use these colours so feel free to experiment I don’t care for rules too much when it comes to make-up.

On my face I used Rimmel lasting perfection foundation with MAC’s matte bronze to lightly contour, MAC’s soft and gentle to highlight and MUA’s blusher in shade 3.

On my lips, I have just used a colourless lip balm to try and add some moisture to my lips as they’re feeling so dry at the moment due to my cold.

Hopefully next week, I will look a bit healthier and my terrible roots will have been done (hallelujah!).
