February Favourites

To say February is the shortest month of the year, it feels like it has gone really slow! On the bright side, Spring is just around the corner meaning that the pastels are coming out and we can finally start to say goodbye to the cold weather. The end of the month means I get to share with you some of the products I’ve been loving these past 4 weeks.

Soap and Glory’s, A Great Kisser Lip balm is a product I received in my February Valentines Swap Box which you can see here. Ever since I got this, I have been using it non stop. It smells and tastes of chocolate so what’s not to love?! I apply this just before I go to bed and my lips feel lovely and soft when I wake up the next morning.

Perfectly Poised is a mineralised skin finish from MAC which came out in the Christmas collection last year. It is an amazing warm, bronzey highlight which looks absolutely amazing with a tan. I have been using this for pretty much every night out since I got it for Christmas as it just looks so complementary and natural when my skin is a little darker.

A few weeks ago, I purchased a few of the Collection Work the Colour Eye Pencils. At just over £3 each, they were an absolute bargain so I couldn’t wait to get home to try them out. The one shown above is Hot Chocolate, an absolutely gorgeous metallic bronze colour which works as a great eyeshadow primer.

Recently, I’ve really been trying to take care of my skin and that means using a decent primer. The Avon Magix Face Perfector has been sat in my drawer for a while now, untouched, so I thought it was finally time to give it a go. In the last few weeks, this has been my saving grace. My make-up lasts much longer when I wear this and it does a really good job of disguising large pores.

For a looooong time now, my go to pair of lashes for a night out have been the Red Cherry #43′s. Red Cherry have been raved about on Youtube for some time so about 18 months ago, I bought my first pair which was the #43′s and I have not looked back. I like to buy mine from Ebay in packs of 5 or 6 for about £14.

Last but not least is Soap and Glory’s Pulp Friction. I need to just start by saying how good this smells. Soap and Glory have a knack for making a usually boring product look and smell amazing with their clever branding and this product is no different. I bought this just after Christmas and have been using it on a weekly basis. It is a soft enough exfoliator to use everyday but I don’t feel the need to do that so weekly or twice weekly is sufficient for me.

I also feel the need to mention something which really made me smile today. I was at a placement fair at my University with the company I am doing my placement with. A girl came over to our table asking for information about the role we’re offering and one of the HR girls who was sat next to me pointed to me and said ‘this is Bea, she’s the current placement student’ and the girl said ‘yeah I know, I’ve been reading your blog online’. I was shocked. I actually met someone who I don’t know that reads my blog. My mind was blown haha. So Hi Zoe if you’re reading this! :D

What products have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments or tweet me at @beasbeautyblog.

Thanks for reading!

I have used the Avon Magix ever since it was released. I agree it is an excellent primer. I put my moisturiser on underneath, so my skin stays hydrated.
