Review: Figs and Rouge Mocha Orange Hand Cream

I was first introduced to Figs and Rouge when I received one of their lip balms in a Glossybox a few months back. I loved it so much that I wanted to see what other products they did so I bought this hand cream from Feel Unique a few weeks ago. It’s a brand I hadn’t come across before, or even heard of so I was very pleasantly surprised to find something I liked as much as the lip balm, and from a Glossybox nonetheless. I don’t find many products that I would repurchase from Glossybox’s but I think I may be just a little bit impressed with this brand.

The first thing I look for from a hand cream is how sticky it feels on my hands once it’s all been rubbed in. If a hand cream has too much oil in it, it takes so much longer to absorb into the skin and I don’t know about you but I’m a little bit impatient so I just really don’t like not being able to use my hands once I have used cream of any kind. I found with this particular hand cream that it absorbed into my skin pretty much straight away, which I absolutely loved.

You get 80ml of product in each tube which I think is a nice amount as I like to take this out with me in my handbag and if it was any bigger, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that. And if there was any less I’d, quite frankly, feel ripped off!

The very first thing I noticed about this hand cream was the amazing smell. I believe in the range there are four scents all together and this was the one that I thought was the most unique which is why I chose it. If you aren’t a fan of coffee or the smell of it (which I’m not, I hate it) don’t let the mocha in the name put you off. To me, it smells like pure chocolate orange, not too sweet and no hint of coffee coming through at all.

I love the branding of Figs and Rouge products. It looks so unique and different to anything I’ve ever seen before. The bright colours just draw you right in and it just seems like such a fun brand. I actually thought Figs and Rouge was a French company but it turns out they are based in the UK, where all of their products are manufactured. I bought mine for £6.95 from Feel Unique and now that I’ve tried this scent, I’m really intrigued to see what the others are like.

Have you tried any products from Figs and Rouge?

Thanks for reading!

  2. This looks really cute, is it just me or does packaging suck you in too? Chocolate orange in any form sounds great to me!
